Sustainability is the key to shaping smart cities and a better future for populations all over the world. But being sustainable tomorrow implies tackling today’s challenges. This premise leads us to a pressing question: “how can people and goods move around sustainably without losing efficiency?” Innovation is needed – and innovation is what Germany’s smartest city, Hamburg, offers via the Landing Pad programme.
Launched last summer to help young international companies scale their business in Germany and Europe, the Scaleup Landing Pad Hamburg has helped 10 fast-growing scaleups secure support services and incentives worth up to 50,000€ to promote sustainability in the mobility and logistics sectors. These scaleups are now adapting their business models to the German market to foster innovative solutions in corresponding areas such as green hydrogen, blockchain, AI, autonomous transportation, and more.
The Landing Pad supports this goal with a menu of individually attributed incentives and services that match each scaleup’s needs. From business development to matchmaking actions with key business players or private accommodation and offices in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, 10 companies are receiving the support they need to grow across the European markets.
