Applications now open for FoodForward, a corporate accelerator in foodtech

Applications are open until July 29th 2018 for the new acceleration program dedicated to innovative projects and startups in the food and retail sector. The program is coordinated by Deloitte, in partnership with Amadori, Cereal Docks and Gruppo Finiper – industrial partners who will work with startups to develop new business of the future – and players in the innovation ecosystem such as Innogest, Digital Magics, Seeds & Chips and Federalimentare Giovani.

Foodforward in brief:

The call: open to Italian and foreign companies established or being set up to innovate in the field of food production and distribution. The innovative trends of reference are, among others: new foods, quality and traceability of food, healthy lifestyle, circular economy, new delivery models, smart packaging and precision agriculture

Initial investment: access to €20k in cash contribution and €50k in services, directly invested by the Foodforward partners, in exchange for 6% of your equity

The acceleration program: 15 weeks between January and May 2019 of acceleration in Milan and includes an intense mix of: project development and consolidation, management training, discussion sessions with mentors and experts in the sector and networking with entrepreneurs, managers and investors from both the Deloitte network and the foodtech ecosystem.

The focus of the program will be to stimulate collaborations between corporate and startup in order to accelerate business through the synergies between innovative startups and industry.

Investments: the program ends with the presentation of the 7 startups to investors invited and selected by Deloitte and its partners. Project partners have already confirmed their willingness to make additional investments of up to 1 million euros.
