Why we started SCALE?
Europe still has structural barriers to startup scaling
Cities often work in isolation, knowledge is not shared systematically, and scaling across borders remains harder than it should be.
Lack of coordination among cities. We’re reinventing what others already solved.
In theory, Europe is one market. In practice, expanding to another EU country feels like starting over.
Europe has strong startup ecosystems, but we work in isolation.

Is SCALE for you?
Membership Principles & Commitments
For European cities with an active startup ecosystem, with at least 100K inhabitants.
Members commit to sharing knowledge, best practices, and relevant network connections.
Attendance at annual in-person meetings and quarterly online meetings is expected.
No membership fees. Members contribute time, resources, and capacity to support joint activities.
